MTHR is a unique organisation which works not only for the good of the HR community, but for the society at large. They organise free seminars. Thats one USP. More importantly, they chose a good theme, find a supporting sponsor and then pick up a theme which is best justified by chosen speakers and panelists.
The seminar I attended on 22 Nov was very well supported by VES (Vivekanand Educational Society). The faculty and students did a commendable job.
- Leadership is not a position of authority but a responsibility.
- Leadership provides a platform for you to be a servant of servants. A platform for you to support your team to produce results.
- What makes a soldier face danger willingly and fearlessly? He does this for his ‘paltan.’ And for the ‘izzat’ of his paltan.
- How did Japan rise from a scratch ? Just one sentence moved them, “who is responsible for quality?” Everyone is !! Quality is everyone’s job
- We must take care of our boundary walls. Lets move out of them. Classic examples of an elephant conditioned to believe that the rope is stronger than his strength, and that Hanuman was not aware of his capability till he was made aware of.
- Leaders need to establish a purpose which people feel is for their overall good and find ways to motivate them to achieve the desired results.
- Many are called, few are chosen.
- Is your ambition higher than your (perceived) ability? – but only slightly.
- Know where you are and where you want to be and work on ‘how’ to reach there.
- Change is temporary. Transformation is permanent and irreversible.
